Summary: In this last book of the Book of Time trilogy, Sam Faulkner journeys through time to ancient China, Renaissance Rome, Egypt, where he meets a younger version of his dad. He also goes into the future to save his friend Alicia. Feelings between Sam and Alicia become stronger and they are united by grave danger. He finally understand who the bad guys is and his reasons. This is quite a revelation. Sam also wants to prevent the death of his mother - in the past, which presents an interesting dilemma as modifying the past will affect the future, and thus is not possible... or is it? The book has a satisfying and surprising closure.

Highly recommended, a superb work by Prevost. We wish the author continues to write these kinds of stories. Prevost, by the way, is a history professor in France. Unfortunately these are the only three books translated into English.
