Stars: 4

Format: 108 pages, some drawings.
Reading level: grades 5 and up

Summary:

"Translated from the original runes by Hermione Granger". For Harry Potter fans this should tell a lot. This book is a collection of five stories about wizards and magic, which purports to be the popular collection of fairy tales for wizarding children mentioned in Harry Potter books. There are five tales:
Each story also has lenghty comments by Prof. Dumbledore.
The tales are quite nice, mostly simple, but they relate to life of non-wizards as well and there a 'moral' of the story. Please note that some of the stories are a little gory, people die and there is blood spilled, so younger readers may not want to read this at night. You do not need to have read Potter to enjoy this little book.
